  • 1 pound raw shrimp (peeled, deveined, halved)
  • 1 cup lime juice (about 34 large limes)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 small red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon jugo maggi or soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 large jalapeño pepper (chopped)
  • 1 medium cucumber (peeled and sliced)
  • Spicy chili flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp with lime juice and salt; let marinate for about 15 minutes until opaque.
  2. While marinating, slice red onion, chop garlic and peppers, and prepare cucumber.
  3. In another bowl, mix reserved lime juice with vinegar, jugo maggi or soy sauce, garlic, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  4. Drain excess marinade from shrimp; combine with the mixed marinade and sliced onion.
  5. Serve garnished with cucumber slices and spicy chili flakes.
