Ingredients

Scale

For the Batter:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For Greasing the Pan:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

For Serving (Optional):

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin thoroughly with melted butter to prevent sticking.

  2. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and eggs together until frothy to incorporate air for a fluffy texture.

  4. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to maintain a light texture.

  5. Fill Muffin Cups
Pour the batter into the greased muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.

  6. Bake the Popovers
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the popovers are golden brown and puffed up.

  7. Cool and Serve
Allow the popovers to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
