  • 1 cup water
  • 4 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 46 squares of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 12 tbsp chai syrup
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • ¼½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Small pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add chai tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove bags and stir in sugar until dissolved. Mix in vanilla extract and set aside.
  2. In another saucepan, heat almond milk over medium heat until warm. Add chopped dark chocolate and stir until melted.
  3. Combine the chai syrup, cacao powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sea salt into the chocolate mixture. Whisk until smooth and heated through.
  4. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and additional chai spice if desired.
