Ingredients

  • Orzo pasta
  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Onion (finely chopped)
  • Cream or half-and-half
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Butter

  • Boneless chicken breast (cubed)
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the orzo in salted water until al dente. In the last couple of minutes, add the broccoli florets. Drain both when done.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season cubed chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Stir in cream (or half-and-half) and grated Parmesan cheese to create a creamy sauce.
  4. Combine the cooked orzo and broccoli with the sauce, mixing gently. Fold in the cooked chicken pieces.
