  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Extra chopped pecans
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan evenly.
  4. Sprinkle pecans over the crust.
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar until bubbling, stirring constantly for one minute.
  6. Pour caramel over the pecans and crust, spreading evenly.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden-brown on top.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot bars, allowing them to soften before spreading into an even layer.
