  • 2 tablespoons gingerbread syrup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup water
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Optional: gingerbread man cookie for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Gingerbread Syrup: In a saucepan, combine ¾ cup water, ⅔ cup sugar, 3 tablespoons molasses, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg. Bring to a boil until the sugar dissolves. Cool and store in an airtight container.
  2. Make Gingerbread Cream: Using a handheld milk frother, whisk together ¼ cup heavy cream and 1 tablespoon gingerbread syrup until thickened.
  3. Froth Milk: Heat ¼ cup milk until simmering (do not boil). Froth using a French press or other frothing method.
  4. Assemble: In a mug, mix strong coffee with 2 tablespoons gingerbread syrup. Add frothed milk and top with gingerbread cream. Optionally garnish with cinnamon and a gingerbread cookie.
