  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In a large bowl, mix eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined into a smooth batter.
  5. Transfer batter into a piping bag and fill each donut well about halfway full.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched.
  7. Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. While cooling, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Allow donuts to cool completely before glazing.
